NINE for 32 and all that

Mike Tucker has been involved with Romsey Cricket Club and the amalgamated Old Tauntonians and Romsey CC for over 30 years. He has been the mainstay in the clubs activities under many guises, first as a player when the then Secretary of Romsey CC Vic Isaacs asked him to come and play as they were short one Saturday.

Tucker came and proved a useful medium paced bowler with a nack of picking up wickets when best needed, and he was no mug with the bat.

Following his playing days he continued to serve the club as an umpire and committee member. Currently the club Treasurer, Mike looks after the Sunday Friendly XI and umpires the Fourth Team matches in the Hampshire League plus serving on the Colts executive within the club.

Mike often braggs to anyone who will listen to his tale of the day he took 9 wickets for 32 in 1989. The proof (below) if anyone needs this is here for all to see ... he even had a hand in the run out for the other wicket.
